Banana Egg Pancakes

American pancakes are considered to be among the most common dishes, belonging to the  cuisines, typical for the United States and Canada. Relatively small and round pancakes, which are usually richly syrupy, are thought to be a significant part of almost any contemporary breakfast.

Today American restaurants necessarily have pancakes in their menu. The additives can be quite various: berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc.), fruits (bananas, apples, pears), chocolate, various cereals, honey, etc.

Have you known that American pancakes have a bit different ways of their preparation, which depends on the state and individual preferences of the people, who are living there? You can always cook classic pancakes, or make the banana ones, that are suitable for any breakfast or dessert.

What products to take

  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sugar – 6 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.25 tbsp.
  • Milk – 2 glasses
  • Flour – 2 cups
  • Soda (slaked vinegar) – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Bananas – 2 pcs.

How to prepare this dish

Step 1

Whip eggs with sugar and salt to foam condition.

Step 2

Add a glass of milk and whip well but carefully.

Step 3

Gradually add the cup of flour, breaking the balls. Then add the remaining milk and flour.

Step 4

Puree 1 banana with the help of blender (or mash with a fork). Second banana is usually left for decoration. By the way it is possible to put a layer of chopped banana slices between pancakes.

Step 5

Add mashed banana into the dough and mix everything well.

Add the vegetable oil.

Step 7

The dough is added by baking soda, slaked with vinegar and mixed well. Put the dough away for 5-10 minutes.

It is recommended to fry banana pancake on frying pan with non-stick coating without oil in moderate heat level. Don’t forget: without any oil, otherwise, you won’t receive American banana pancakes.
